San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 20, 2012
On July 5th, 2012 Art People Gallery will celebrate Salvador Dali by showing some of his original works, alongside several of his most famous lithographs.
Born in 1904 in Spanish Catalonia, Salvador Dali obtained early recognition at age 21, with his first one-man show in Barcelona. Three years later, he attained international fame with his participation in the third annual Carnegie International Exhibition in the United States. Although known as “The Master of Surrealism,” Dali never limited himself to one particular style, as attested by his post-1940 paintings which express a deeper preoccupation with science and religion.
Dali’s major source of inspiration throughout his life was his wife Gala, whom he met in 1929.
When he passed away in 1989, Salvador Dali left an impressive body of work to posterity.
