Arvin Sango Announces New Manufacturing Facility in Henderson, Tennessee

Arvin Sango, Inc. announced today that it will restart the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Henderson, Tenn. The automotive parts manufacturing company will build exhaust systems for the Toyota Corolla model slated for production at Toyota’s newest assembly plant in northern Mississippi.

Locating in Henderson, Tenn., will allow Arvin Sango to efficiently serve our customers. The community’s quality workforce and readily available infrastructure made this location a logical choice.

Arvin Sango, Inc. announced today that it will restart the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Henderson, Tenn. The automotive parts manufacturing company will build exhaust systems for the Toyota Corolla model slated for production at Toyota’s newest assembly plant in northern Mississippi.

Scheduled to open by the middle of 2011, the plant is a $4 million investment for the company and is anticipated to create 40 new jobs in Henderson. The is the fourth North American plant for the company, with two facilities located in Madison, Ind., and one located in Campbellsburg, Ky.

Dan Baughman, Vice President & Secretary/Treasurer of Arvin Sango, Inc. said, “Locating in Henderson, Tenn., will allow Arvin Sango to efficiently serve our customers. The community’s quality workforce and readily available infrastructure made this location a logical choice. We appreciate the positive working relationship already demonstrated by the local community and look forward to a prosperous partnership.”

Henderson Mayor Bobby King welcomed Baughman and the Arvin Sango team, saying, “This is a good day in Henderson.” King introduced and thanked former Mayor Eddy Patterson for his key role in facilitating Arvin Sango’s decision to move to Henderson. He also thanked Sylvia Palmer with the Southwest Tennessee Development District, Tracey Exum with the State of Tennessee Economic and Community Development, and the Henderson/Chester County Chamber of Commerce for their roles.

“I am pleased to welcome Arvin Sango to Tennessee, and I thank them for their investment in our citizens and state,” said Matt Kisber, commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economic Development. “We appreciate the confidence they have shown in our highly skilled workforce and nationally recognized business climate.”

Arvin Sango supplies more than 65 percent of the exhaust systems used by Toyota Motor Company plants in North America. The company’s plants also manufacture stampings, manifolds, converter systems, and door impact beams for the automotive industry. Arvin Sango, Inc. is owned by Sango Company, Ltd., based in Aichi-Ken, Japan.
