In the spring you can look forward not only to the renewal of life around you, but also to events and activities like marathons, farm and garden shows, and the annual Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Festival.

Ashland, Washburn, and the Northern Wisconsin region as a whole are looking forward to the advent of spring and the myriad events planned for the season, according to Jay Emmert, a prominent Ashland real estate broker. Emmert reports that Ashland’s events for March alone include parades, fundraisers and benefits, lectures, and a variety of live performances.
“Northern Wisconsin is a four-season destination and each season is special in its own way,” says Emmert, who has been an Ashland and Washburn, Wisconsin real estate professional for over a decade. “In the spring you can look forward not only to the renewal of life around you, but also to events and activities like marathons, farm and garden shows, and the annual Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Festival.”
The festival, which is on its sixth year, will be held on May 17-19 and will have the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center (NGLVC) as its home base. Other notable spring events in the region include the annual Easter egg hunt on the Ashland Courthouse Lawn, the Chequamegon Bay Arts Council Community Show (the exhibit lasts until the end of the month), the Our Dweebs Family Night at the Bay Area Civic Center on April 14, and much more.
“Spring is also a good time for homebuyers and sellers to make serious plans about buying Ashland homes for sale or Washburn real estate,” says Emmert. “The real estate market here can get quite active in the summer and fall months, so you’ll want to plan ahead.”
