Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s Divorce Predicted by Online Dating Study

In early October, a dating study conducted by online dating website, WhatsYourPrice.com, made a bold prediction – that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s marriage is doomed and headed for divorce. As expected, according to The Associated Press, Demi Moore announced yesterday she is divorcing Ashton Kutcher. The dating study, which Mother Jones Magazine called “sexist”, provided the only scientific explanation for why certain Cougar-Cub relationships such as Hugh Jackman and his wife will work, while others such as the Demi-Ashton union are bound for failure.

The Demi-Ashton union was doomed since the beginning because their age gap is big, but even more so it's because Ashton was young and immature when they first met. It takes a mature man to make such a marriage last.

Last month, online dating website WhatsYourPrice.com, made a bold prediction – that Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s marriage is doomed and will sooner or later end in divorce. According to The Associate Press, Demi Moore announced her decision to divorce Ashton Kutcher yesterday.

The breakup prediction was a result of a dating study on Cougars and Cub couplings. Being the first and only online dating system where first dates are bought and sold, the company collected the average price of over 180,000 first date offers made to attractive male and female singles. The average first date offer price was then plotted against age to derive the Cougar Value Curve and the Cub Value Curve, which show the value of an attractive man and an attractive woman as they age.

“We decided to conduct this study after Ashton Kutcher was alledged to have cheated on Demi with Sara Leal to better understand why some younger men who marry older women are more likely to cheat,” says Brandon Wade, Founder & CEO of WhatsYourPrice.com. “When the result of our Cougar dating study was published last month, a number of female journalists refused to cover the story because they were offended by its conclusion. An article, published in Mother Jones even called our study sexist.”

Ashton and Demi met in 2003 when he was 25 and she was 40 when they were both equally valued, which explains why the coupling happened when it did. According to the study, the perceived value of attractive females peak when she reaches the age of 25. By the time she becomes a Cougar, which is generally defined as an attractive woman over the age of 30, her value is on the decline. The study also finds that the value of an attractive male peaks when he reaches the age of 34.

“The likelihood of success or breakup when a younger man marries an older woman depends entirely on their age-gap and more importantly on the age and maturity of the younger man when they first meet,” says Wade who holds a BS and an MBA degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “The Demi-Ashton union was doomed since the beginning because their age gap is big, but even more so it's because Ashton was young and immature when they first met. It takes a mature man to make such a marriage last."

About WhatsYourPrice.com

WhatsYourPrice.com is the innovative online dating service where singles can buy or sell the chance of going out on a first date. On other online dating personals, singles decide to interact based solely on superficial factors such as pictures or profile descriptions. Much like charity dating, by integrating a monetary component to influence the decision for a single to go out on a first date, WhatsYourPrice.com has become the only online dating system that allows users to level the playing field. WhatsYourPrice.com was launched in March 2011 by Brandon Wade, who believes that going out on a first date is the only way singles can get to know each other at a meaningful level, hence allowing them to move past superficial selection criteria that make current online dating websites ineffective. Brandon Wade, is also an accomplished author and the founder of a number of leading online matchmaking websites, including SeekingArrangement.com – the leading Sugar Daddie personals, and SeekingMillionaire.com – the largest millionaire matchmaking website.
