Changing lives for 25 years

Students graduating from Ashworth's accredited electrician training courses will have the knowledge and confidence to pursue a rewarding electrician career.

Ashworth College recently rolled out content revisions to its online electrician course. The revised course incorporates the latest version of the National Electrical Code (NEC) which establishes standards for the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment in the United States.

Committed to the success of its graduates, Ashworth ( initially developed the online electrician training program to provide in-depth instruction on how to succeed in the building and construction field. Nearly every building has an electrical system that is installed during construction and that requires post-construction maintenance. With nearly 600,000 employed electricians in the US alone, this remains a highly desirable field and so does the quality training to become an electrician.

“Students graduating from Ashworth's accredited electrician training courses will have the knowledge and confidence to pursue a rewarding electrician career,” said Dr. Leslie Gargiulo, Ashworth College’s Chief Academic Officer. “Depending on where they are in their career, this can include preparing for an apprenticeship, incremental on-the-job training, and eventually passing the state’s licensing requirements.”

“According to the Department of Labor Statistics, the number of jobs for a trained electrician is expected to grow as much as 23% through 2020,” she added. “To keep up with demand it’s imperative that we give our graduates every opportunity to succeed -- which includes providing the most up-to-date course content and adequate preparation to take the state’s licensing exam.”
