Bricoleur Consulting, an HR services firm for the communications industry, has launched a new initiative through http://www.askbricoleur.com. Ask Bricoleur is an opportunity for agency professionals from across the region to tap into the learnings and perspective of senior agency leaders, people who have held senior leadership positions in the advertising, media, digital and research industries. Ask Bricoleur is time limited (March 1st- 31st ) but allows a confidential one-on-one chat with someone with a history of a high level of achievement in your specific specialty. The people that you can tap into include:

Manpreet Singh who has in the past been CEO of Mindshare Singapore and UM China. Having worked in India, China, Hong Kong and Singapore Manpreet has had deep leadership experience hiring and managing very large teams. He has won many awards including the Singapore advertising Hall of Fame award. He regularly serves on awards juries in the Asia pacific region. He would be able to guide someone not only on media related career questions but also on what its like to live and work in different cultures.

Missy Devlin, American by birth but also a Mandarin speaker and living in Asia would be the person to talk to for professionals grappling with how to break into digital and working in new markets. Missy has been in local and regional roles with digital and direct agencies in the US, China, India and Singapore. She has held senior leadership positions with digital companies like Organic as well as in client side roles. She has also in the past been MD and Regional Director with OgilvyOne and was last with R/GA prior to working with Bricoleur.

Mike Foster who helps Bricoleur assess senior planning and suiting talent has worked across the Asia pacific region including Singapore, China, Philippines and Australia. He has been in both business and planning roles heading up key pieces of business such as P&G and McDonald’s and also headed up Pure Creative in Australia. Mike was Regional Planning Director with Leo Burnett and was last based in Shanghai as Planning Director with Lowe. If you’re a researcher or a suit looking to break into planning, a planner evaluating your next move or looking to understand what to expect if you are moving from Australia to China, Mike’s the person to tap into.

Vaughn Davis, Senior Consultant with Bricoleur is an experienced advertising awards judge, recently serving on the Direct Jury at the 2010 Cannes Lions, where he was singled out by advertising media as one of only two jurors with any grasp of social media. He has written a book on social media, titled ‘Tweet this book!’ His last agency role was a 10 year stint with Y&R New Zealand, much of that as Creative Director. Vaughn’s perspective could really help a lot of creatives who may not have yet successfully navigated the transition to digital. Equally his perspective from serving on awards juries is invaluable.

Rodrigo Toni was till recently Regional CEO with IPSOS Singapore responsible for Australia, India and the ASEAN region. He has been heading up agencies in the research industry for over ten years after having started his career in Brazil. Rodrigo has handled large teams across very diverse cultures. He could provide insights on fitting into a large organization when moving from a boutique research consultancy and vice versa. Also as someone who is at the cutting edge of new research methodologies, he could help you navigate your career to gear up for the changes impacting the industry.

Bricoleur aims to help agency professionals find roles where they can be their best through an intiative like Ask Bricoleur.
