The Chesapeake Bay wedding venue, managed by Marriott Hotels & Resorts, hosts a limited number of special weddings each year and has a few key dates open for 2013.

Overlooking the gleaming Wye River on more than 1,100 acres of dense woodlands and rolling pastures, the Maryland wedding venue provides the perfect atmosphere for intimate ceremonies for groups of 30 to 150 people. From the stately Georgian manor of Houghton House and modern comforts of the River House on Wye River to an orchard of cherry blossom trees, the Maryland conference center’s elegant grounds and facilities are poised to host everything from rehearsal dinners to wedding ceremonies.

The newly created menus for 2013 include duets of crab stuffed chicken breast with creamy mushroom sauce and seared Chilean sea bass with lemon emulsion along with Petit filet mignon with port wine sauce and Maryland style crab cake with beurre blanc. The refreshed hors d'oeuvres menus include regional favorites of spicy crab salad on cucumber rounds and mini Maryland crab cakes with remoulade sauce. Peking duck rolls and tuna tartar in wonton crisps also have been added.
