The Heritage Woods of Aledo affordable assisted living community is offering a special Healthy Living program for older adults with chronic medical conditions, starting on Thursday, Nov. 1.
The “Take Charge of Your Life: Live Well, Be Well” program was developed by the Patient Education Research Center at Stanford University as a research project between Stanford and the Northern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program.

The program is designed for those with chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, asthma, lung disease, diabetes, emphysema and Parkinson’s disease, says Lenz.
