Churchview Supportive Living Community for Adults 65 & Older

Our emphasis is on helping each resident achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.

Bradley, Ill. (PRWEB) November 08, 2012

Heritage Woods of Chicago, a BMA affordable assisted living, recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary of serving low income seniors.

The community is one of two BMA affordable assisted living communities in the City of Chicago that provide low income seniors with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home.

Heritage Woods of Chicago is located at Fulton and California on Chicago’s West Side. Churchview Supportive Living is located at 2626 W. 63rd St. in the Chicago Lawn/Marquette Park area of Chicago.

Both communities are fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and are managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

The communities serve low income adults 65 and older who need some help to maintain their independence, including those on Medicaid or who only receive Social Security benefits.

“Residents benefit from the opportunity to live in their own private apartment and receive personal assistance and help with medications,” says Ellie Baum, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Chicago.

Three meals a day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“The communities also provide an oasis of safety and security,” says Christopher Dale, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Chicago.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The apartments feature an emergency alert system and spacious bathrooms with showers and grab bars.

“Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the care and assistance that they need,” says Dale. “Our emphasis is on helping each resident achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”

Baum adds that “one of the biggest benefits for residents is all of the opportunities that are available to socialize and to participate in activities and special events.”
