Heritage Woods of Flora, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Breakfast for Seniors on Feb. 13. The community, which is located in Clay County, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.

Heritage Woods of Flora, a BMA affordable assisted living community in Clay County, Illinois, is hosting a Breakfast for Seniors from 7 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The community, which is located at 1004 W. 4th Street in Flora, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

"We invite you to come and enjoy fellowship with friends and neighbors and a freshly made breakfast cooked right to order," says Lucas Sigrist, Administrator of Heritage Woods.

There is no charge to attend.

"Our community provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Sigrist. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

The community is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

Private studio and one-bedroom apartments are available. Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in social activities no matter what the weather," says Sigrist.
