Bridle Brook of Mahomet, a BMA assisted living and memory care community in Champaign County, Illinois, is hosting a special presentation on Healthy Brains and Aging by University of Illinois Professor Arthur Kramer at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17.
The presentation is open to the public and will be held at the community, which is located behind the Carle and Christie Clinics at 1505 Patton Dr. in Mahomet, Illinois. There is no charge to attend.
Professor Kramer is the Director of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois.
He will be speaking about "Maintaining and Enhancing Healthy Brains and Minds: What Does Science Have to Say."
He will be talking about cognitive decline as we age and the Cognitive Enrichment Hypothesis. He will be addressing sleep, stress, physical activity and exercise, intellectual engagement, diet and social interaction.
