John Evans Supportive Living, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is offering a "Move Those Joints" exercise program for older adults on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The community, which is located at 1320 Executive Ct. in Pekin, Illinois, serves adults 65 and older of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
The exercise program is open to the public and is conducted at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays and at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. There is no charge to attend.

The community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

"Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."
Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at John Evans features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning system, and emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in social and recreational activities and programs such as exercise classes," says Rumler.
BMA Management, the company that has operated John Evans Supportive Living since the community opened for occupancy in November 2007, is based in Bradley, Illinois.
The company operates 36 senior living communities, housing nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.
