Cambridge House of Swansea, a BMA affordable assisted living community in the St. Louis Metro East area, is hosting an Easter Pie Social at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.
The community, which is located at 3900 Sullivan Dr. in Swansea, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
"We invite you to stop by for a piece of pie and the musical entertainment of Kenny Kaffer," says Lee Bohannon-Smith, Administrator of Cambridge House of Swansea.

Cambridge House of Swansea is one of three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities in the Metro East area. Cambridge House communities also are located in Maryville and O'Fallon, Illinois.
"The communities provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Smith. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."
Each of the private apartments at the Cambridge House communities feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in social and recreational programs," says Smith.
The Cambridge House communities are certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
"Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the help and assistance that they need," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA. "Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."
