Prairie Winds of Urbana, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Holiday Shoppers Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Prairie Winds offers older adults of all incomes the opportunity to enjoy residential apartment-home living and personal assistance and help with medications.
More than 15 vendors will be selling items at the Holiday Fair, which is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.
Homemade gift cards, pottery, purses, jewelry and homemade peanut brittle will be among the items available for purchase, says Margaret Seggebruch, Director of Marketing for Prairie Winds. “Come early for the best selection.”
Parking will be available on the south side of the building, which is located at 1905 S. Prairie Winds Dr. in Urbana, Illinois.

Prairie Winds of Urbana is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program, which enables the community to serve older adults of all financial means, including those on Medicaid.
The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

Residents of Prairie Winds live in private apartments that feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
Residents also benefits from the many opportunities that are available to socialize with their neighbors and to participate in social and recreational activities, says Seggebruch.
Prairie Winds is one of the 36 senior living communities managed by BMA in the State of Illinois.
