Atlanta School for Autism Hosts Open House on Sunday, October 28, 2012

Cumberland Academy of Georgia, a special needs school for children with High-Functioning Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADD, ADHD and other learning differences, hosted an Open House on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Cumberland Academy of Georgia, Inc, a SACS-CASI accredited, private, non-profit, independent school dedicated to educating students with special needs, welcomed students and families to the first Open House of the 2012-2013 school year. The school, which is located on Mt. Vernon Highway in Sandy Springs, was open from 2-4pm on Sunday, October 28. “This was a great opportunity for families to tour the campus, meet the faculty and staff, and get a lot of questions answered,” said Debbi Scarborough, Headmaster and Founding Director. The Open House welcomed prospective students with their families, along with community members who wanted to learn more about the highly regarded Atlanta school.

Cumberland Academy of Georgia offers rolling admissions and is currently extending an opportunity to register students for this school year and to pre-register for next year. The school accepts students in grades 4th-12th and also offers a postgraduate year, which is designed for students who need assistance transitioning from high school to college or into the professional world.
