ajcpets.com is the place for Atlanta's more than 2.25 million pet-owners to go to network and chat with each other.

"To continue to expand our online audience, we are committed to providing information and discussion opportunities for affinity groups, including pet-owners," said Hyde Post, AJC vice president, Internet. "ajcpets.com is the place for Atlanta's more than 2.25 million pet-owners to go to network and chat with each other."

Currently, two out of three visitors to ajc.com have a pet. Many have already submitted photos for the ajcpets.com Halloween Pets photo gallery featuring pets in costume.

Two veteran AJC employees will play key roles at ajcpets.com. Morieka Johnson has been named channel manager, and Sandy Eckstein will create an online version of her pets column, as well as write a blog five times a week.
