Cobb Mentoring Matters (CM2) will be the flagship program providing 21st century mentoring to local school-age youth.
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) October 19, 2011
The Cobb County School District selected http://www.AtlantaGraphicDesign.net, an Atlanta Web Design firm, to develop their new website and online technology center for the Cobb Mentoring Matters (CM2) initiative. This program targets K-12 students to facilitate academic excellence, increased self-esteem, development of critical life skills, and overall personal growth.
In July of 2008, the Cobb County School District (CCSD) received one of the largest grants in the ten-year history of the Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative, a collaborative effort among the U.S. Departments of Education, Health & Human Services and Justice. Cobb Mentoring Matters (CM2) will be the flagship program providing 21st century mentoring to local school-age youth.
The objective is to involve students in the planning stages to make the program “cool and hip” to attract young people and volunteers. Participants will be given access to training and mentoring opportunities.
The success of this program will largely depend on strong participation from mentors and students alike. According to Caesar Blue, creative director of Atlanta Graphic Design, “With the advent of smart-phone technology and social media usage, it’s critical that program participants be able to access the mentoring portal on the go.”
Program leaders were looking for an Atlanta web design company capable of handling the brand development, logo design, and integrating the website with the ‘mentoring engine’ along with social media hangouts Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Caesar Blue, brings 7 years of web design experience, and over 107 completed websites to this project. Blue says, “this project requires four critical components for success: engaging graphics that ‘pop’; content to keep a younger audience interested; a strong technology backbone to host the mentoring engine; and search engine friendliness ensuring the website doesn’t get lost in cyberspace.
“We’re excited about the project because of the opportunity to impact future generations. A successful mentoring initiative will lead to more healthy and whole people to manage our world in the challenging times that lie ahead. I'm glad to be a part of impacting future generations for the common good.”
This new website will be hosted at http://www.CobbMentoringMatters.org.
