The law offices of Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason are pleased to announce that Deborah F. Schweizer, a leading California attorney and partner of the firm, will be attending the 51st Annual Convention of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC). The CAOC membership, over 3,000 attorneys strong, are experienced plaintiffs’ attorneys representing clients injured, discriminated against, or otherwise harmed by the wrongdoing of others. The CAOC is also a legal advocate, actively fighting to keep California’s courts fair to all.
The CAOC’s annual convention focuses on changes in the legal landscape in California and throughout the United States, making it an opportunity for attorneys not only to network but to learn and discuss how to more effectively represent clients in all types of cases. This year, the CAOC convention will be held November 8 -11 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Of special interest, Kamala D. Harris, California Attorney General, will speak about her role in protecting consumer rights on November 9.
Ms. Schweizer says this convention is “an opportunity for me and other California trial lawyers to confer about the direction of consumer rights in California, earn our continuing education credits and plan for further efforts to protect consumers.”
Ms. Schweizer has led a distinguished career as a California attorney, specializing in complex litigation, including representation of clients diagnosed with mesothelioma. She is a member of CAOC and actively lobbies Sacramento to advocate for and protect consumer rights. Ms. Schweizer was also part of the delegation that helped get the recent law passed that puts limitations on lengthy and harassing depositions which will go into effect January 1, 2013.
