NCH Swift Sound releases a major upgrade to their robust audio file converter, Switch, providing high quality encoding for over twenty different file formats, batch conversion and command line operation.
Canberra, Australia (PRWEB) July 10, 2007 -- NCH Swift Sound, specialists in audio, business and video applications announce the release of Switch Audio File Converter v 1.20.
"Our development team has pulled apart the previous version of this application to sort out any remaining bugs and to provide higher quality encoding," said Stephanie Lee, marketing manager for the Canberra based company. "Switch has the ability not only to be run from a command line and called via another application, it can convert up to 32,000 files at one time which makes it a powerful business tool for data compression and backup."
New features include the ability to customise commands, convert streaming audio as it is recorded, normalize recordings during the conversion, ability to add a play list (.pls and .m3u) and convert all at once as well as additional conversion format settings and a larger range of sample rates. Many companies use file format converters to simply compress audio for storage, for example, call centers, who are required to record calls for legal reasons and may take thousands of calls per day.
"Switch is just one component of our range of audio applications for businesses and integrates with our other programs, like Express Burn Plus (CD/DVD/Blu-ray burning), to create an overall solution for audio management," said Stephanie.
