Audubon Nature Institute welcomes Taylor/Audubon Students and Scholars, parents or guardians, and two family members or friends to visit on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 for the Taylor-Audubon Family Free Day. Audubon Nature Institute recognizes the academic accomplishments of students in New Orleans and has partnered with Patrick F. Taylor Foundation and New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) to reward the exceptional work of students during the school year.
“We are proud to participate in a program that impacts the lives of so many families across Louisiana,’’ said Audubon Nature Institute President and CEO Ron Forman. “The Taylor Scholars initiative has rewarded tens of thousands of students who have excelled in the classroom and we are looking forward to welcoming these students and their families to our attractions.”
All New Orleans students are eligible to receive a Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) award. Students can earn their college tuition in high school if they meet the specific core curriculum, standardized test scores, and grade point average requirements. It is never too early for students to talk with their school counselor about TOPS.
