“Our au pairs and host families are committed to helping improve the environment and this event provides them the unique opportunity to leave their part of California better than they found it," said Steven Courtney, Au Pair Care regional manager.

Au Pair Care, the leading au pair agency that provides affordable, live-in child care services to American families, will be volunteering at the 28th Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 15th. Au pairs, staff, and host families from across northern California will be participating in five different cleanup events across the state. The events will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and are open to the public.

“We are so thrilled to be participating in this year’s California Coastal Cleanup Day, and we encourage the public to come out and join us at any of the five locations where we will be volunteering,” said Steven Courtney, Au Pair Care regional manager for California. “Our au pairs and host families are committed to helping improve the environment and this event provides them the unique opportunity to leave their part of California better than they found it.”

California Coastal Cleanup Day, an annual beach and inland waterway cleanup, is the state's largest volunteer event. In 2010, more than 82,000 volunteers removed more than 1.2 million pounds of trash and recyclables from California beaches, lakes and waterways. This year, the event is taking place in conjunction with International Coastal Cleanup, organized by the Ocean Conservancy, and taking place on the same day.
