The Aurora orthopedic surgeons that Denver’s professional sports franchises trust are hosting the First Annual Professional Lacrosse Sports Medicine Symposium at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on January 26th. Colorado Orthopedic Consultants will have three of their own surgeons speaking at the event, which will focus on injuries and treatment in professional lacrosse.

Colorado Orthopedic Consultants – the Aurora orthopedic surgeons locals trust - is proud to announce it will be hosting the First Annual Professional Lacrosse Sports Medicine Symposium. The event will take place this upcoming Saturday, January 26th at the home of the Denver Broncos and Denver Outlaws, Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Landmark events like this one provide an opportunity for surgeons to come together to address injuries facing sports medicine today.

Colorado Orthopedic Consultants are proud to have three of their orthopedic surgeons speaking in the event. Dr. Craig A. Davis, Dr. Mike Hewitt, and Dr. Phil Stull will be addressing the issues they face while dealing with sports injuries. Dr. Stull, who is the head team physician for both the Colorado Mammoth and the Denver Outlaws, will be speaking on the history of professional lacrosse injuries through the years.

“This symposium is very important for the sports medicine industry, in terms of how far we’ve come in the treatment of lacrosse injuries and where we see the advances in the field going in the years to come,” said Dr. Phil Stull who will be giving the welcome address.

Dr. Craig Davis will be speaking on the epidemic of hand fractures in lacrosse, while Dr. Mike Hewitt will talk about the management of A.C. joint injuries in athletes. Both doctors are well-respected in the community and abroad in the field of sports medicine.

It’s our job to get these guys back on the field and playing 100% while learning and adapting to the array of injuries they face,” said Dr. Mike Hewitt, orthopedic surgeon in Aurora.
