Grantham will be able to create a ‘Veterans in Transition’ awareness program to be utilized by anyone who works directly with our veteran student population, including the veteran’s employer, family, instructors, academic advisors, and career advisor.

Grantham University, a 60-year-old institution delivering accredited online degrees to working adult students around the world, has received a $5,000.00 grant from the Aurora Foundation to develop a “Veterans in Transition” awareness program.
The “Veterans in Transition” program will build knowledge and specific skills needed for staff and faculty to ensure that our veteran students are successful in achieving their educational goals. Like Grantham’s other courses, this one will use online delivery so it can be completed by anyone at any time.
“Receiving this grant is very exciting and will enable the University to continue its tradition of meeting the educational needs of service members and veterans,” said Dr. Cheryl Hayek, Associate Provost and Vice President -Faculty & Student Experience. “Now Grantham will be able to create a ‘Veterans in Transition’ awareness program to be utilized by anyone who works directly with our veteran student population, including the veteran’s employer, family, instructors, academic advisors, and career advisor.”
Once the program is created and piloted internally at Grantham University, the course will be offered free to the public. “By sharing the course with the public, Grantham will continue its mission of ‘serving those who serve,’” commented Dr. Hayek
The Aurora Foundation strives to assist veteran students’ transition from “Boots to Books to Business” by enabling them to successfully graduate from college and enter the workforce. The Aurora Foundation supports higher education institutions dedicated to providing veteran-friendly campuses with resources that enable veteran students’ success.
Grantham University's accredited online degree programs are flexible and portable, allowing students to fit education into their life instead of arranging life around their education. The University offers military scholarships and veterans scholarships that reduce the per credit hour tuition rate to 250.00 dollars and a Textbook and Software Grant that covers the cost of required textbooks and software. The University is approved for the payment of Veteran Education Benefits and TA Benefits.
