I'm excited to take on a new role here at Austhink and to build on the company's impressive growth and stature
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 26, 2008
Austhink Software, the leading provider of advanced critical thinking solutions, today announced the appointment of accomplished entrepreneur Henry Okraglik as CEO. Austhink founder and former CEO, Dr. Tim van Gelder, will transition into a new role as Chief Visionary Officer and Head of Strategy.
Okraglik assumes leadership as Austhink builds upon its steady growth in the U.S. market. The company recently launched its new business decision-making product, bCisive, and it is showing early and steady traction in a number of business segments, especially with management consulting professionals and corporate strategists.
Okraglik brings more than 20 years of diverse leadership experience in consulting and business management to Austhink, with senior executive roles in industries including government, academia, logistics, healthcare and IT. Prior to Austhink he held senior management positions at a number of companies, including Hyro Limited (ASX:HYO), CoolRock Software and HotMagna. Okraglik also played a key role in the development of San Francisco-based Zoom Systems, helping the company raise venture capital funds and serving as General Manager and VP of Research and Development from 1996 to 1999.
According to van Gelder, Okraglik's expertise in sales, partnerships, fundraising and global leadership will serve the company well. "Henry was the obvious choice to manage our growth through this critical phase," van Gelder said. "He brings a wealth of experience and complementary strengths to Austhink, notably his proven expertise in business development and the ability to execute in highly-competitive environments. This is a terrific opportunity for our company - with Henry taking operational control, I will be freed to work on core issues such as product direction, key messaging, content development and strategic alliances."
"I'm excited to take on a new role here at Austhink and to build on the company's impressive growth and stature," said Okraglik. "We have an opportunity to make a notable impact on a number of industries and I look forward to leading the charge to take Austhink to the next level."
