I'm honored to be the recipient of another Book of the Year award from Creative Child, especially since this is my first novel.
Charleston, SC (Vocus) November 6, 2010
The latest offering from author Susi Beatty has been named Book of the Year by Creative Child Magazine. Her junior novel, “Curse of the Seedling”, chronicles the journey of Angie the Ant as she sets out on a journey to find the mystical portal known as The Bumblebee Tree which links the fallen world of Sohac with the good land of Antamar. Armed only with a magical medallion and her determination, she embarks upon a dangerous journey which could determine the fate of both worlds.
Creative Child is a national publication dedicated to helping parents nurture their child’s creativity. Published twice a month, the magazine also sponsors a creative award program every year. A panel of parents and educators review toys, books, games, CDs and DVDs and vote on their ability to educate and inspire creativity. Only one winner is chosen per category. This year, the judges have chosen the latest book by Susi Beatty as their Book of the Year.
Beatty is no stranger to this award, having won Book of the Year once before with her book “Angie the Ant and The Bumblebee Tree” which was chosen in 2008.
