As Autism Awareness month approaches, Maxam Nutraceutics, a leading manufacturer of health-related products, is encouraging individuals to learn more about the causes of Autism Spectrum Disorders and available autism treatments with an online contest to raise funds for autism non-profit organizations. The contest invites everyone to go online to Maxam Nutraceutics’ website, from February 25th to April 30th, 2010, to participate by voting for their favorite autism-related organization. At the website, visitors can nominate their favorite organizations, from which twelve finalists will be selected. Maxam Nutraceutics will focus on nationally-recognized autism organizations that have emphasized the need for research, early intervention and recovery, for which visitors can vote at http://www.maxamlabs.com.

“In over fifteen years of specializing in cellular detoxification, we hear a great number of awe-inspiring stories from parents of autistic children across the globe. These stories lead us to research and develop new products specifically for Autism Spectrum Disorders, which were met with equal success,” says James Cole, Founder and CEO of Maxam Nutraceutics. “Many parents and individuals are unaware that there are scientifically-researched, non-invasive treatment options available for their children, and we want to encourage them to seek help and support with organizations that will lead to recovery of this generation.”

After voting for their favorite organizations, website visitors will have the opportunity to share and invite friends and family to vote through email, Facebook and other social media applications. The top three autism organizations, chosen by number of votes from their supporters, will receive a portion of the online sales proceeds for the duration of the contest. To raise additional awareness of the autism organizations and help those affected by autism, Maxam Nutraceutics’ website will provide information about each of the organizations with their contact information, as well as additional resources starting March 1st, 2010.

“I initially began Maxam Nutraceutics to help people, especially children. Sending healthy, conscious, environmentally-aware children into the future is our ONLY future,” states Cole. “Our children are teaching us what we have done by introducing toxins to our environment and ourselves. They are our “canaries in the mine” and with the current epidemic of Autism Spectrum Disorders, autism awareness and its treatment should be everyone’s concern. With this contest, I hope to encourage, educate and make a difference in lives of individuals with autism, and the autism community as a whole.”
