Touch Technology Applications for Children with Special Needs Conrefence and Expo 2012

ABA Consulting Services LLC is proud to announce the first ever Touch Technology Applications for Children with Special Needs conference and expo. This two-day symposium dedicated to exhibiting the latest touch-tablet technology will unite creators and developers of touch technology with skilled practitioners, caregivers and aides who are committed to providing the best educational, social and behavioral support for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. The conference will showcase state-of-the art touch-tablet applications geared toward expanding communication and language, expressing basic wants and needs, building upon academic success, engaging in social settings, and managing behavioral concerns. This event is being held on September 17 and 18 at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri.

Touch technology utilizes the most popular touch-tablet formats including iPad, iTouch, iPhone, Kindle Fire, and select Android devices along with practical applications carefully created by some of the best app developers in the nation with the needs of individuals with ASD and other disabilities in mind. The two-day conference features app developers sharing and demonstrating the capabilities of touch technology applications through live product demonstrations and videos. Skilled professionals will show participants how touch tablets are being utilized in home, school, and social settings to facilitate independence, academic improvement and social growth in individuals with ASD and other disabilities. Theme-specific breakout sessions allow participants to customize the conference to fit their needs and interests. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and engage hands-on with the apps before purchasing them. In addition, they will have an opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, therapists, parents, and caregivers on the unique needs of the individual they work with.

By attending the Touch Technology conference, participants will have an exclusive chance to engage with app creators and developers to learn about the apps through candid question and answer opportunities. Participants can share their own experiences with apps they have tried out and also hear valuable feedback on apps from others. ABA Consulting Services has partnered with several major sponsors including Special Learning, Inc., a leading global provider of products, resources and assistive technologies for individuals with ASD and other disabilities, to broadcast this unique conference using live webcast streaming of select conference sessions for those are unable to attend. Non-attendees who register for the webcast will have the opportunity to access many of the product demonstrations and theme-based break-out sessions from a remote location via live streaming webcasts.
