San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 23, 2013
A suspected drunk driver has caused a 4-car accident in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego, California, according to a report from Fox. The driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Mission Bay Drive and Garnet Avenue shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday morning, colliding with a Honda and a Volvo. The crash resulted in a chain reaction that further impacted a minivan on the other side of the center divider. San Diego police stated that resulted in the hospitalization of three people, one of whom sustained a serious head injury.
The driver was a 26-year-old male, who was heading northbound in a Nissan Titan. According to Fox, he was initially taken to a hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries, and was then taken into custody and booked on suspicion of felony drunk driving. No one was killed in the accident, and most victims sustained only minor injuries. One of the affected passengers was a 5-year-old boy, but his injuries were also minor.
Jeff Nadrich, a Los Angeles auto accident attorney, recently reported about the issue on his California Car Accidents blog. According to Nadrich, “We don’t know for certain if the Nissan driver was actually drunk in this case, as the matter is still under investigation, but if in fact he was impaired, he may be liable for the injuries and damages sustained by the drivers and passengers of the other 3 vehicles. Anyone who experiences an accident as a result of someone’s impaired or otherwise negligent driving should consult with a qualified car accident attorney at once. You can’t rely on the insurance companies to cover your needs.”
Nadrich has been defending car accident victims for 25 years, and urges all motorists to remain alert behind the wheel, as unexpected accidents can occur at any time of the day or night.
