A recent survey of Internet users sheds some insight into the factors that affect price sensitivity with auto insurance. Numerous factors come into play - and a new interactive infographic on Einsteinsurance.com breaks it down.

The survey asked users "How much money would you need to save on auto insurance each month before you would consider changing insurance companies?" The survey was conducted by Einsteinsurance.com, a website that features consumer auto insurance information and consumer insurance insights & market data.

The survey, conducted with Google Consumer Surveys, ran between October 15th and October 17th, 2012 and asked a random sample of 1,000 Internet users. Responses were received from a wide range of consumers of all ages and income levels.

Results indicate that the majority of consumers, regardless of age and gender, would need to save $50 or more before they switched carriers. This, and other data points indicate that consumers may not be as price conscious with auto insurance as some have previously theorized.

The survey results are presented in an interactive infographic that allows viewers to not only visualize the data, but also interact with the data by selecting different demographic factors to better understand how different consumer segments answered. This is a great way to better understand the pricing sensitivities of particular consumer age groups or gender when it comes to evaluating their auto insurance.
