"National Car Care Month was created to raise awareness about the real economic, safety and environmental benefits of performing regular car maintenance and repair. With warmer weather around the corner and vehicle age on the rise due to current economic pressures, there's no time like the present to be more car care aware and recognize the importance of monthly car maintenance," states Carolyn Lefebvre, President/CEO of AutohausAZ.

"In recognition of National Car Care Month, AutohausAZ is looking for do-it-yourselfers to tell their stories of car problems and resolutions they found successful in auto repair or car care tips that may help solve others' car care questions. By providing people who submit publish-worthy tips with a free $20 gas card, we hope to encourage people to think more proactively about car care and share their experiences with others."

Statistics from the latest Car Care Month's inspection campaigns (April and October 2008) indicate a definite need for better consumer education. The potential effects on highway safety, air quality, cost of operation, vehicle performance and vehicle dependability are evident from these results.

AutohausAZ created Import Auto News, an online newsletter where do-it-yourselfers can share their secrets and successes, to keep consumers informed on the latest auto repair and car care tips to keep their import cars running and looking great. The information provided helps do-it-yourselfers access auto repair advice before they decide to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on car repairs.

Past articles discuss topics such as Exhaust System Maintenance, Disconnecting Your Battery, Avoiding Damage After an Oil Change, Cleaning Your Brake Lines and Master Cylinder and Car Wash Tips, just to name a few.
