Gent Machine Company of South Euclid, Ohio was awarded approval of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009 certificates. The contract manufacturer, which has been in business for over 80 years, underwent a three-day audit by SRI Quality System Registrar and culminated in the recent awarding of certification. ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management standard that is awarded to companies that have established, documented, implemented, maintained, and consistently improved a QMS (quality management system).

Additionally, ISO/TS 16949 also requires an actively working QMS and defines it for the production and, when relevant, installation and service of automotive-related products. Therefore, Gent Machine is now approved to manufacture high quality precision parts for the automotive industry.

The contract manufacturer is celebrating its accomplishment this week when the formal certificate is awarded by SRI.
