We are already changing the rules of the entire marketing landscape, helping our industry move beyond mere ideas to online and offline experiences — made possible through technology. We believe that technology and our unique insights into consumer behavior will help us lead a golden era of creativity.

"Darin brings the perfect blend of experience to this role," said Clark Kokich, CEO of Avenue A | Razorfish. "Ten years ago he made the leap from traditional advertising to digital marketing and has been intimately involved with many of the most important developments in the industry. He has a proven ability to win and keep business, and grow client relationships. Moreover, he is a great leader who embodies our core values: passion, accountability, creativity and teamwork."

Brown will oversee acquisitions and continued development of pan-regional services as part of the growth strategy of Avenue A | Razorfish in Europe, where the organization operates under the names Duke, Neue Digitale and Avenue A | Razorfish.

The agency's international network in Europe has won significant pieces of national and regional business, including Audi, BNP Paribas, Levi's Europe, McDonald's, Nintendo of Europe and O2.

To build on that success, Brown will also be charged with raising the visibility and brand presence of Avenue A | Razorfish across the region; orchestrating and leading successful pitches for pan-European accounts; and connecting European offices to the best ideas coming from the rest of the network in the U.S. and Asia.

Chris Perry, co-managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in London; Matthieu de Lesseux, president of Duke; and Olaf Czeschner, co-managing director of Neue Digitale, said in a statement: "We were eager to be the first European companies acquired by Avenue A | Razorfish because the company represents the best that digital marketing has to offer. Since our respective acquisitions, we have partnered closely and enjoyed significant business growth.

"Our network is expanding at exactly the right time, as marketers across our region are increasingly seeing the need to engage people digitally, be it online, on the mobile phone, in a technology-driven store of the future or wherever emerging media take us."

Brown said he is committed to supporting his strong leadership team, which also includes Neil Miller, co-managing director of Avenue A | Razorfish in London, and Andreas Gahlert, co-managing director of Neue Digitale.

"Together, we have the opportunity to become the top marketing company for the digital age," Brown said. "We are already changing the rules of the entire marketing landscape, helping our industry move beyond mere ideas to online and offline experiences — made possible through technology. We believe that technology and our unique insights into consumer behavior will help us lead a golden era of creativity."

Kokich concluded: "With offices in Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, we are serving our clients' global marketing needs. Darin's new position further solidifies our presence in Europe as we continue to build our leadership position around the world."
