Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) issues the following statement about the nomination of Tom Wheeler for Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission by President Barack Obama.

“The Alliance for Women in Media congratulates Mr. Wheeler on his nomination,” said Erin M. Fuller, CAE, AWM president. “We look forward to continuing our work with the FCC to promote the advancement of women in the telecommunications and related industries, and hope Mr. Wheeler shares our vision and mission to create and sustain a diverse media landscape.”
