Babelgum's music channel is continuing to produce and deliver exciting content exclusively to our audience before anyone else and the release of Strawberry Swing is no exception
New York, NY and London (Vocus) July 15, 2009
Independent mobile and web content platform Babelgum today announced the world premiere of Coldplay's Strawberry Swing. The new video will be exclusively available on Babelgum Web and Mobile from July 20th to July 27th. The song will be released on Parlophone as a digital download on September 14th and the video will be commercially available August 3rd.
The innovative video was directed by Shynola, a group of visual artists famous for their work with Beck (E-Pro), Blur (Crazy Beat), Junior/Senior (Move Your Feat), and Radiohead (Pyramid Song) to name a few. In the video, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin debuts as an animated superhero in a larger-than-life world drawn entirely in chalk.
"Babelgum's music channel is continuing to produce and deliver exciting content exclusively to our audience before anyone else and the release of Strawberry Swing is no exception," said Babelgum's Head of Music, Jason Lamont. "These exclusive videos are in line with our commitment to delivering innovative, professionally produced programming to a global audience, and we're excited to see its growth on both our online site and mobile application."
Starting from today Babelgum is featuring an exclusive preview of the video's trailer on the Babelgum home page (http://www.babelgum.com/coldplay).
