Bali provides some of the most wonderful opportunities for hiking, trekking and cycling in Indonesia and we hope this new package will allow more travelers the chance to experience the wonders of this captivating island.
Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) December 07, 2012
The four day / three night 2,200 Meters Above Bali: Mount Batukaru package places guests in the fabulous Sarinbuana Ecolodge which is a haven for nature lovers, located on the slopes of the mountain, surrounded by tropical plantations and close to the island’s largest protected rainforest. On day one, guests are treated to a lunch prepared with fresh produce from the lodge’s organic garden and the afternoon is spent with a choice of activities picked from either a Balinese massage, a class on Indonesian cooking or calligraphy, or how to make Balinese table decorations.
Day two takes explorers on a guided trip deep into the Balinese rainforest to survey the wild tropical fruits, vanilla and coffee plants that grow in the host of natural flora and fauna. After the three-hour trek, travelers return to the lodge for a delicious lunch and spend the rest of the day at their own leisure.
On the third day, travelers will ascend Bali’s second highest mountain, Mt. Batukaru (which means ‘coconut shell’ in Balinese) on a full-day trek. After a hearty breakfast, the guide will lead the way under the shade of the rainforest canopy towards higher ground. Lunch will be taken by a mountain stream before undertaking the final ascent. The summit, 2,276-meters-high provides spectacular vistas of the entire island of Bali.
The final day of the tour includes the opportunity to cycle the slopes of the Mountain, right down to the west coast of Bali, passing rice fields and local villages until they reach the black sandy beach. Once at the beach, bikers can enjoy a well-earned picnic lunch before being transferred by private car to the airport or on to their next destination.
“The 2,200 Meters Above Bali: Mount Batukaru package is a nature-lovers dream,” said Backyard Travel’s General Manager Maeve Nolan. “Bali provides some of the most wonderful opportunities for hiking, trekking and cycling in Indonesia and we hope this new package will allow more travelers the chance to experience the wonders of this captivating island.”
