Celebrate Super Bowl Sunday with a ring pool from Backyard Ocean

Sales for our floating chaise lounges and above ground pools have risen over the last few weeks, especially in warmer climates like south Florida... it appears that customers are planning to use them to host a unique Super Bowl party.

New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts fans have another reason to celebrate Super Bowl XLIV. Backyard Ocean, the popular one-stop retailer for swimming pools and accessories, has put their popular ring pools into the clearance section for the first time.

Ring pools are relatively inexpensive, easy to set up, and all-inclusive, which make them popular with last-minute Super Bowl party throwers. Backyard Ocean ring pools arrive complete with pool pump, filter, and replacement cartridges, like the popular Intex pool filters.

“Our ring pools are one of our top sellers,” says Sasha Jacobs, spokesperson for Backyard Ocean. “Sales for our floating chaise lounges and above ground pools have risen over the last few weeks, especially in warmer climates like south Florida. We’re waiting for feedback, but it appears that customers are planning to use them to host a unique Super Bowl party.”

South Florida is where Super Bowl history is usually made, and the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area is preparing for the influx of Super Bowl 44 fans eager to witness exactly how New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will make that history. NFL Super Bowl fans are well aware of the irony of this particular Super Bowl; the Miami Dolphins, who twice passed on accepting Brees as their quarterback in 2006, is now hosting Brees and his team at Dolphin Stadium.

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention/Visitors Bureau is anticipating this irony to bring in more than $400 million to the region.

But for the South Florida population that chooses to stay home to watch Super Bowl history, throwing a pool-side Super Bowl party is a great way to entertain guests and watch the game. Jacobs cautions pool owners to make sure their pool equipment is updated and efficiently working to ensure that no pool glitches interrupt the party. “It’s important to stock up now on popular items like type B pool filters, so that during the Super Bowl party you can quickly replace your filter if necessary.”
