Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) October 25, 2012
Synchronicity Boutique, an award winning special occasion clothing and accessory shop for teens and adults, has used their 2012 sales to take a light-hearted approach to prognosticating on the possible outcome of the upcoming Presidential Election.
“I reviewed Synchronicity’s year-to-date sales for the usage of Red, Blue, and Purple in their descriptions to see if there was a possible correlation between the choices people have made in their purchases, and the Election’s possible outcome. I discovered that “Red” items have outsold “Blue” items and “Purple” items, with the total number of items sold representing 53%, 28%, and 19% of sales respectively. However, items with “Purple” in their description have earned a higher profit margin per item - nearly 3% higher than “Red” items, and 1.5% greater than “Blue” items. To be fair and offer full disclosure, I did not include items that were described as “Aqua, Turquoise, Rose, Violet, Amethyst, and other color variations.” said Karen Mazer, President of Synchronicity Boutique.
Mazer added, “If Synchronicity Boutique’s sales are accurate at forecasting the Election’s outcome, with Red, Blue, and Purple correlating to votes for Romney, Obama, and those who are still undecided, I would surmise that if the election were held today, Romney would win; however, there is still plenty of time for customers to visit Synchronicity Boutique and buy enough ”Blue” merchandise to change the entire outcome of my poll. In fact, I would strongly encourage them to do so! As in the Presidential race, the ‘Purple/Undecided’ votes are extremely valuable, and should not be underestimated!”
Named “Baltimore’s Best” by Baltimore Magazine, Synchronicity Boutique sells dresses in sizes 00 to 42w from a variety of designers including: Sherri Hill, La Femme, Jovani, Tony Bowls, Faviana, Terani Couture, Blush Prom, Mac Duggal, Sydney’s Closet, and Night Moves. Synchronicity also offers Tuxedo and Suit Rentals in every size, with colors specially selected to coordinate with every dress they stock.
Synchronicity registers every dress purchase, selling only 1 of each style dress per event. Mazer is also very involved in school fundraising, and donates $5 for every dress purchase and tuxedo rental being worn to school events. Nearly $11,000 was donated from Prom 2012 Sales, supporting 240 schools' Post Prom Parties and SADD Chapters.
