All types of U.S. flags are selling well

Online Stores, Inc., the largest online vendor of flags, announced that sales of American Flags are running over 50% higher than normal following the convincing victory of Barack Obama in yesterday's election.

"All types of U.S. flags are selling well," explains Kevin Hickey, VP of Marketing "but car flags, hand held stick flags, larger outdoor flags and flag kits for houses are all selling much faster than normal for this time of year. It is like July 4th in November! Customers are telling us they feel proud to be Americans and want to express this by displaying the U.S. flag."

Typically sales of American flags peak prior to the country's 4th July celebrations. November is a slow month, although American flag kits for houses are a popular Christmas gift item towards the end of the month and into December.

Sales of American flags surged after the attacks on September 11th 2001, but have been flat since then.
