Barceló Hotels & Resorts, a privately owned Spanish hospitality group, continues to roll out its international branding into the UK with the launch of a re-branded UK website.

Barceló Hotels & Resorts, a privately owned Spanish hospitality group, continues to roll out its international branding into the UK with the launch of a re-branded UK website portal -- http://www.barcelo-hotels.co.uk.

The re-branded website is being introduced following the Spanish group's launch into the UK in 2007, when it took on the 45-year management lease of UK four-star hotel group, Paramount Hotels.

Barceló's UK website, formerly a Paramount Hotels portal, comes as part of the group's strategic plan to strengthen Barceló's brand recognition in the UK and its web presence internationally.

According to E-Commerce Marketing Director, Sally Osborne, "The website, will strengthen Barceló's presence in the UK as well as help to introduce the brand to existing customers." She continues, "We are confident that the website will contribute significantly to increased awareness of the group within the UK and will allow us to take our marketing worldwide and compete with other major hotel groups online."

In addition to listing current availability, the website also provides up-to-date information regarding Barceló's special promotional offers and packages, plus details of each hotel's individual meetings and events facilities, restaurants and health clubs. An AA Route Finder tool providing directions to each hotel is also available on the site as well as live daily guides to regional events and activities local to each property. In keeping with its international equivalent, the UK Barceló system is both user-friendly and informative making it easy for consumers to navigate their way around and book online. The website also has the advantage of being able to show availability direct from the reservations system and therefore offers total reliability and accuracy for online reservations.

All new UK Barceló sales tools are also available for download from the website, including the UK Directory, Meetings Directory and the Global Directory.

In the future, the Barceló website will also include a new Destinations section, providing information on all Barceló destinations and hotels across the globe.
