ING Bay to Breakers 12K Race

Starting point: Howard Street and Beale Street
Elite runners and 70,000 others begin the 97th annual ING Bay to Breakers race according to their respective ZONES. Please see map below.
- NOTE: Elite runners begin crossing the finish line around 8:30 a.m.
- NOTE: Finish line is located on the Great Highway at Ocean Beach
ING Battle to the Breakers and ING Hayes Street Summit Award
It's the battle of the sexes at the ING Battle to the Breakers which pits the best women runners against the best men runners, giving the women a head start based on the difference in course records for men and women. The first person to cross the finish line will win an extra $25,000 bonus.
The ING Hayes Street Summit Award of $5,000 will be given to the first male and first female to "crest the peak" of the Hayes Street Hill - a dramatic point in the race where winners are made and lost.
ING Footstock Festival
