“Maëlle and I are challenging everyone to see if they can beat us online at IBeatYou.com/BCSki”, said Ashleigh McIvor, 2010 Olympic Ski Cross Gold Medalist. ”We’ll also put the winners of the BCSkiGames.com contest through their paces."

This Winter, Olympic Gold Medalists, Ashleigh McIvor and Maëlle Ricker are partnering with Tourism British Columbia to challenge North Americans to compete against them online and in person.
BCSkiGames.com is a comprehensive, interactive contest website that informs visitors about all the latest features and unique offerings at British Columbia’s 13 award-winning winter resorts. Visitors to the site will be able to enter to win* a contest that will see the winner and seven friends spend five days at the BC winter resort of their choice. On one of those days they will be given the once in a lifetime opportunity to train with Maëlle and Ashleigh and compete in their very own BC Ski Games which will, depending on the resort selected at time of contest entry, feature events ranging from a Hockey game, to a Ski Cross relay, or a Dog Sled race.
“A lot of the best winter sport athletes in the world grew up competing on British Columbia’s world-class mountains and we look forward to awarding someone with the opportunity to experience what it’s like to ski and snowboard some of the best terrain on earth”, said Maëlle Ricker, the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games Snowboard Cross Gold Medalist.
To launch the contest, McIvor and Ricker have also released videos of themselves challenging winter sport enthusiasts to a video and a photo competition on IBeatYou.com/BCSki. In the quirky competitions, Ashleigh and Maëlle challenge users to see either how fast they are or how creative they can be for prizes such as a Contour HD camera.
“Maëlle and I are challenging everyone to see if they can beat us online at IBeatYou.com/BCSki”, said Ashleigh McIvor, 2010 Olympic Ski Cross Gold Medalist. ”We’ll also put the winners of the BCSkiGames.com contest through their paces when they come to train with us in B.C.”
Two of the world’s top extreme athletes, Ashleigh and Maëlle both grew up skiing and snowboarding in British Columbia and are familiar with what each mountain has to offer. For information on ski deals in BC, please visit http://www.HelloBC.com/Skideals.
