Virginia Beach, Va. March 25, 2009-- BCF, Hampton Road's largest brand communications firm, took top honors at the prestigious 2009 Hampton Roads ADDY Awards show, winning 11 awards including a Best of Show, Judges' Choice and AAF Silver Medal Award at the February 28 show.
Leading the competition for the seventh year in a row, the Virginia Beach-based firm collected three gold and six silver awards in various categories including collateral, interactive, print and television advertising. The Best of Show Award recognized BCF for its work on the Virginia Tourism Corporation's Portraits of Passion consumer trade color print campaign. BCF also took the Judges' Choice Award for Interactive in the Web site/consumer flash category for the Virginia Beach CVB and the Virginia Tourism Corporation's Life is a Circus Web site. Finally, the coveted 2009 AAF Silver Medal Award was posthumously awarded to A. Palmer Farley, co-founder of BCF, for his excellence in the advertising industry.

This year's epidemic-themed ADDY® Awards recognized BCF's advertising campaigns for clients such as the Virginia Tourism Corporation, Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau, Gatlinburg Department of Tourism, the Virginia Aquarium and Art of Glass 2.
Held at The Westin Town Center, the Hampton Roads ADDY® Awards are the first of a three-tiered competition sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). With over 60,000 national entries each year from 200-plus advertising clubs and 15 regions across the country, the ADDY® Awards are the largest national competition in the industry. For the past seven consecutive years, BCF has won over 130 awards for its clients, including eight awards at the district level.
