BearCom introduces its new Facebook page with the launch of its integrated social media strategy.

We’re always looking for more ways to communicate with customers, partners, and the public about the value of wireless technology.

BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today announced a commitment to enhancing and expanding customer engagement through social media that includes additional emphasis on several popular channels.

BearCom is formally introducing its new Facebook page, LinkedIn profile, and YouTube channel, and it plans to integrate those vehicles into a communications strategy that had previously been focused primarily on the use of Twitter and the company’s blog.

“We’re always looking for more ways to communicate with customers, partners, and the public about the value of wireless technology,” said Kent Huffman, BearCom’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re confident this expanded social media effort will help us do just that.”

On BearCom’s Facebook page at, viewers will find photographs and informational posts highlighting the many business applications for two-way radios and other wireless products, systems, and solutions. Links to helpful content on other social media sites are included as well.

The BearCom LinkedIn profile at features a variety of company information, such as BearCom news, career opportunities, product information, and links to BearCom’s blog.

BearCom’s YouTube channel, “BearComTV,” is available at There users can view instructional videos from BearCom and its partners, such as Motorola Solutions. For example, BearCom’s newly released video on the FCC narrowbanding mandate is featured, as are several animated tales featuring Wireless Woman, the fictional superhero created by BearCom.

BearCom has had a consistent presence on Twitter for several years. More than 6,000 users follow the company at @BearCom and @WirelessWoman. Via @BearCom, the company tweets about information that BearCom’s customers and prospects need to help them use wireless technology to improve communications, productivity, and security for their organizations. And via @WirelessWoman, BearCom tweets about new developments in wireless technology for its partners and the wireless industry as a whole. To help build a strong following on Twitter and add value to its community, BearCom created "Wireless Wednesday" (#WirelessWednesday) in 2009 to bring together users working in the wireless industry.

The “BearCom Bulletin,” the company’s blog, was launched nearly a year ago. It features entertaining and informative updates each week about BearCom, its partners, and the latest advancements in wireless technology and applications.

“Our experience with social media has been very positive so far,” Huffman said. “We look forward to expanding our reach and continuing to innovate, all with the goal of letting more people know about BearCom, our partners, and everything we have to offer.”
