One of the most important things we do at AUSA is work with companies like BearCom and Motorola that are willing to honor our obligation to support those who have given so much.

BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today announced that BearCom and Motorola Solutions have agreed to serve as the lead sponsors of a golf tournament that benefits two charities assisting wounded warriors and their families in North Texas.
The 2012 AUSA Wounded Warrior Golf Classic will be held October 1 at Indian Creek Golf Club, the Dallas area’s premier 36-hole, daily-fee golf facility. The event will feature various contests, including a hole-in-one challenge for the approximately 200 participants, as well as displays of various military and public safety vehicles.
“We are very excited to be a part of this event, which is dedicated to the assistance of servicemen and women injured in the protection of our country,” said BearCom’s President & CEO, Jerry Denham. “Veterans are especially important to us at BearCom, as some 50 of our employees have served in our nation’s armed forces.”
The 2012 AUSA Wounded Warrior Golf Classic is online at http://www.WoundedWarriorGolfClassic.com, where website visitors can support wounded warriors by becoming a tournament sponsor, registering to play, or making a donation. The site also offers details on the event, the contests to be held, and information about the tournament’s sponsors.
The golf event is organized annually by the North Texas Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), which focuses on programs raising funds and awareness in support of wounded warriors, PTSD and TBI treatment, assisting soldiers and veterans in finding employment in the civilian sector, and raising the leadership quotient for individuals and organizations ranging from ROTC programs to public and civic entities.
“We are so pleased to have the support of BearCom and Motorola as we produce this great event, which benefits such a worthy group of veterans,” said AUSA North Texas Chapter President, Colonel JP Hogan, U.S. Army, Retired. “One of the most important things we do at AUSA is work with companies like BearCom and Motorola that are willing to honor our obligation to support those who have given so much.”
The North Texas AUSA chapter supports Heroes on the Water and Operation Once in a Lifetime. Heroes on the Water helps injured military personnel relax, rehabilitate, and reintegrate with society through fishing and the outdoors. Developed for patients at Fort Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas, it has spread to locations across the country.
Operation Once in a Lifetime’s mission is to make the dreams of U.S. soldiers and their families come true by providing free financial and moral support to U.S service members, their families, and veterans. Operation Once in a Lifetime is dedicated to offering help when it’s needed most, whether it’s paying a soldier’s electric bill or car payment, or simply flying a soldier home.
