Our holiday party at The Barber Lounge was a unique and festive way to kick off the holiday season

Corporations have turned away from idle chit chat and boring hors d'oeuvres in favor of body treatments, haircuts, private caterers and down tempo music at The Barber Lounge. San Francisco's holiday parties are veering off from the tried and not so true form of watery eggnog and tepid conversation around the festively decorated water cooler. The Wall Street Journal turned the tables on the traditional holiday celebration with a new treat for their employees by hosting their holiday bash at The Barber Lounge and starting what will be the trend to top for the 2011 holiday season.

The Wall Street Journal employees enjoyed spa French manicures and pedicures, massages and customized haircuts while they mingled. Freshly prepared food and cocktails were served as a DJ spun mellow beats that filled the Barber Lounge's airy 5,400 square foot SoMa loft.

Wall Street Journal employee and party planner Michelle Sanders said, "Our holiday party at The Barber Lounge was a unique and festive way to kick off the holiday season. It provided us the opportunity to pamper our clients and showcase The Wall Street Journal as a sophisticated brand."

Barber Lounge is a full service Salon/Barbershop/Spa located in San Francisco's SoMa district. It was owner Greg Griffin's mission to create a modern-day barbershop that would cater to both men and women--from the local celebrity to the most intimidated--with the best products and services housed in a fresh and relaxing loft space.
