The Trail’s End Smoothie Company will be serving up smoothies and espressos to help preserve Galbraith Mountain. The new Bellingham smoothie establishment will donate all tips earned during the month of June to the Whimps Mountain Bike Coalition (WMBC) of Bellingham, in an effort to help them preserve Galbraith Mountain for current and future recreationalists.
“The Trail’s End Smoothie Company is devoted to preserving the natural beauty of the Bellingham area,” said owner Morgan Morvee. “Preserving our area’s natural resources aligns with our own company goals and we strive to partner with local organizations that share similar objectives.”
Galbraith Mountain, the informal name for Lookout Mountain, is a popular mountain biking area that has also become popular with hikers and runners. There are 44 miles of mountain biking trails on the mountain that have been maintained by the non-profit WMBC. Recently, recreational use of the mountain became endangered, reminding the general public that conservation of the area is tantamount to preserving the community as well as mountain biking culture.
"The fear of losing access to Galbraith Mountain reminds us that we must all do our part to help maintain the quality of life in Bellingham," Morvee said.
The Trail’s End Smoothie Company will be hosting the event from its new location alongside the Veg Express at 700 Ohio St. in Bellingham, Wash. during the entire month of June. The Bellingham smoothie company will be serving snacks and drinks Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. All tips will be donated to the WMBC; donations are also welcomed.
