The exclusivity of executive worlds often creates the perfect barrier, insulating them from the prying eyes of the law. Otherwise, perfect cunning and bribery do the trick, establishing the ground for a perfect crime. Author Ben Strope believes these atrocities happen anywhere, yet many remain unaware of their impact on society and the economy as a whole. As someone who has encountered firsthand the complexities of executive monetary crimes, he breaks the silence in his new novel, " Unwanted Evidence of a Corporate Icon," (published by AuthorHouse), an intriguing fiction that offers readers a look into the devious world of corporate infractions and government corruption.
"Unwanted Evidence of a Corporate Icon" is about an individual who worked for a large company and found himself on the wrong side of management when corruption was discovered and exposed. This took place even though he had worked for and through the company’s internal security forces, contracted corporate investigator firms and the FBI. The book covers all levels and types of industrial crime, but concentrates more on executive crime. Strope says this is because it affects society the most and it falls under the category of near-perfect crimes. He goes on to say that few are ever arrested, convicted or do prison time even though they steal billions from all areas of society. Strope cites the Wall Street crash as a prime example, adding that most executives still got their bonuses on top of what they stole.
Direct, insightful and eye-opening, this exposé shows readers by example after example how easy it is for executives to steal billions and never even get questioned. According to Strope, the current criminal system is just not equipped or concerned about this type of crime. The ultimate concept being, crime in the executive world really “pays big.” He hopes that through this book, readers will harbor awareness and understanding of the threats of such crime and be proactive in exposing it to rightful and trusted authorities once encountered.
