Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 05, 2012
With China's economic development, as a key additive, BA (benzoic acid) plays a key role in many industries in China in recent years. In 2011, the total consumption volume of BA in China is about XXXX tonnes.
In China, BA has been widely applied in many fields currently. In 2011, most of China's BA consumption comes from NaB (Na benzoate), accounting for about XXXX. And the rest (about XXXX) is from other downstream products, such as BA plasticizers, benzoyl chloride, BA alkyd resin, animal feed, etc.
As to NaB consumption in China, food industry and beverage industry have taken up XXXX at present. Meanwhile, NaB is also used to produce medicine, antifreeze, pesticide, mosquito coild, etc. In 2011, about XXXX consumption volume of NaB is from food industry and beverage industry, while the rest (about XXXX) is consumed in many other fields (such as medicine, etc.).
It's well known that BA and NaB are both harmful to health to some extent when used for food. However, they are still playing an important part in food and beverage industry as an antiseptic in China currently. At the same time, illegal usage of NaB is common among food and beverage producers in China, especially those small enterprises which usually use NaB ignoring relative regulations and standards.
With more and more attention to be paid to health, the growth in consumption volume of BA and NaB from food and beverage will slow down gradually in China in the next five years (2012-2016). Moreover, stricter regulations on food safety in China will restrict the consumption of BA and NaB in food and beverage industry, too. It's estimated that the growth rate of NaB in China will XXXX from XXXX in 2012 to XXXX in 2016. And the consumption share of BA consumed in NaB will XXXX accordingly.
BA consumption from other industries (such as plastic industry, coating industry, etc.) will XXXX with the development of other downstream industries in China in the next five years (2012-2016). And it's predicted that China's total consumption volume of BA will grow up to more than XXXX tonnes in 2016, with a CAGR of about XXXX.
