It’s essential to provide a variety of program options, which can help people get on the road to sober living – and just as importantly, help them stay sober long after they’ve erased drugs and alcohol from their lives.
(PRWEB) October 13, 2014
Best Drug Rehabilitation, which offers treatment programs and believes that having family close by during a stay in rehab can make a big difference in whether or not the process is successful, proudly hosted “country music’s bad boy, gone good” Jared Blake at a private concert for BDR’s patients and staff on October 2, 2014.
The unique event, which took place at a local theatre, saw Blake and his band rock the stage with a hand-picked selection of bluesy country-style tunes, including chart-topping favorites “Devil in the Rear View” and “Better Man.” The intimate and interactive setting also allowed Blake to share his personal experiences of addiction and recovery, and inspire those in attendance with the powerful message that being sober is a great way of life.
“As I’ve said before, the whole reason I got sober was so that I could live,” commented Blake.
Blake also reflected on how important it is for a rehab facility to offer multiple programs, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach: “Most rehab facilities do things one way, and force everyone to do the same thing. But people are different, and so it’s really important to offer different variations, such as music therapy and other options. No two people will respond the same way to a certain method of treatment.”
“Jared’s views on treatment variety is precisely what we strive to offer our patients,” commented Best Drug Rehabilitation’s CEO Per Wickstrom. “He’s exactly right. No two people are the same. It’s essential to provide a variety of program options, which can help people get on the road to sober living – and just as importantly, help them stay sober long after they’ve erased drugs and alcohol from their lives.”
