Synergy between new marketing systems and enhanced direct sales through Amazon and Google are helping LHN move to new territory in the building of their sales force. While the strong push for customers was not readily embraced by all marketing Associates in the beginning, many LHN team leaders are seeing massive recruiting numbers as customers are migrating into Associate positions.
“Delighted customers make our best marketing Associates” Says LHN's Chief Operating Officer Russell Bly. “We've invested heavily in new customer acquisition. That investment is paying giant dividends as our team leaders report many inquiries from customers who are looking to earn some extra money by recommending products they are already using. I am not sure we can fully quantify the total real results, as this is still a work in progress. But we are seeing trends that indicate a true multiplier effect when an emphasis is placed on customers. As long as we delight every customer with our products and our service, those customers will inevitably lead to several new sales each and move us closer to creating the best customer-focused home business.” Said Bly.
“It's all about COA and ROI” Says Tracy Grevert, Chief Financial Officer with LHN. “There are certain costs for the company to solicit, enroll, and support a customer and marketing Associate. However, we are finding a huge disparity between actual acquisition costs of the two groups. Customers cost about one-third as much as marketing Associates to put on the books, yet lead to almost as many referrals. While we seldom see an acceptable return on investment at the corporate in soliciting marketing Associates, we see a quantifiable return on our customers. Having spent almost two decades in the field, the numbers almost seemed reversed as the law of large numbers never really applied in smaller than the corporate level. As a marketing Associate, it was recruiting new Associates that drove the business. Now it's just the opposite at the corporate level.” Said Grevert.
When asked if profitability of customers may lead the company to moving into direct sales only, Grevert responded “Our Independent Associate base is the reason for our existence!
